Suri Cruise is one lean, mean, cycling machine.
Though she hasn’t yet ditched her training wheels, the six-year-old showed off her newly acquired bicycle skills on a NYC playground alongside mom Katie Holmes Saturday.
With Holmes’ help, a determined Suri (astride a pink bike boasting — what else — a pink basket and pink handlebar streamers) pedaled around the downtown playground next to an equally-focused pal.
Since filing for divorce from Suri’s father, Tom Cruise, on June 28, Holmes is determined to focus on raising their daughter — and establish a name for herself in the worlds of both theater and high-end fashion. (Their divorce was finalized on Monday after the couple reached a speedy settlement in early July.)
This fall, The Kennedys actress will return to Broadway for the first time since her 2008 role in All My Sons, as well as show a Holmes & Yang collection at New York Fashion Week. (Holmes launched the label back in 2008 with friend and stylist Jeanne Yang).
While Holmes and Suri have spent a relatively quiet weekend in the Big Apple so far, TMZ reports that Tom, 50, had a late night at a London club early Friday morning, after he showed up to surprise his 17-year-old son Connor — known professionally as DJ C-Squared — who was spinning that evening.
No word on whether Isabella Cruise (Cruise’s daughter with Nicole Kidman) joined her dad and brother during their night out, although a member of Cruise’s legal team told Us Weekly Friday that Isabella is currently in Europe with her father — and denied reports the 19-year-old had plans to join the Church of Scientology’s Sea Org.
