Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne shared three children, who haven’t always gotten along.

Ozzy and Sharon, who were married from 1982 until the Black Sabbath singer’s death in 2025, shared Aimee, Kelly and Jack. (Ozzy was also a father of three from his first marriage to Thelma Riley.)

“We’re not close,” Kelly said flatly on the “We Need to Talk” podcast in September 2026 when asked about Aimee opting against appearing on the family’s show, The Osbournes, in the early 2000s. “I believe there’s a reason for everything; it just wasn’t meant to be for her. It was always me and Jack. If I’m honest, my older sister didn’t really ever acknowledge me and my brother. She was just in her own world doing her own thing.”

Aimee Osbourne Explained Why She Skipped ‘The Osbournes’

Aimee has long guarded her privacy — a decision she traced back to a specific moment.

“For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and I always really valued my privacy within that family,” Aimee said on Q1043’s Out of the Box in 2020. “And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn’t really line up with what I saw my future as.”

She added, “It definitely worked great for the rest of my family. But for me and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically.”

Aimee moved out of their family home at 16 instead of living with the cameras.

“She felt, too, that she didn’t want to grow up on camera. She hated the idea — it was appalling to her,” mom Sharon said on The Talk in 2018.

Aimee briefly appeared in the background of some The Osbournes episodes, but her face was blurred. She made rare public appearances at Ozzy’s funeral in Birmingham, England, and at the 2026 Grammy Awards as Ozzy was honored.

Jack Osbourne Addresses the Distance

Jack offered his own blunt read on the sibling dynamic during a 2025 appearance on the “Disrespectfully” podcast.

“We’re not close at all. We don’t have a great relationship. She’ll be the first to tell you that. So, it’s no secret,” he said shortly before Ozzy’s death, claiming that Aimee wanted to be an “obscure mysterious moody” musician and viewed their reality TV show as a shortcut. “She deemed doing a show on MTV as low hanging fruit and she was like, ‘I’m not going to be seen riding coattails.’ That’s how she perceived it.”

He continued at the time, “Once the show was hugely successful, I think she was like, ‘I can’t now, come on, because I don’t want to be seen even more as jumping on the bandwagon.’ So, she just dug her heels in and wanted to be relatively private and obscure.”

Kelly and Aimee Osbourne Are ‘Not Close’

During her September 2026 appearance on the “We Need to Talk” podcast, Kelly claimed that she couldn’t “tell the whole truth” about Aimee avoiding The Osbournes because she didn’t “want to speak on behalf” of her sister.

“I believe there’s a reason for everything; it just wasn’t meant to be for her,” Kelly continued at the time. “It was always me and Jack. If I’m honest, my older sister didn’t really ever acknowledge me and my brother. She was just in her own world doing her own thing.”

Kelly further claimed that she felt Aimee was “embarrassed” of the family, adding, “I’ll never really, truly understand. It just felt that way. We’re very different. Everything I am, she’s not. Everything she is, I’m not. You couldn’t be more polar opposite. We’re like oil and water.”

For Kelly, the sisters’ estrangement left a lasting mark.

“I will tell you it’s one of the hardest things of my life, that I never got a big sister. And I had to learn how to do certain things that a big sister should have taught you on my own,” Kelly added. “And I do have a resentment there. I’ll have that forever. I respect her. I accept her, but we’re different. And that’s OK.”

Kelly also shut down a potential reconciliation, stating, “If you’re not gonna accept me for who I am and constantly be trying to change me and say horrible things about me and truly seem to thrive when I’m not doing well, I don’t want you in my life.”
