Time to hire an exterminator? Kid Rock took to Instagram this past Friday to fight the swarms of Beyonce fans — the so-called Beyhive — who took over his social media accounts last week.
Beyonce's supporters spammed Kid Rock's Twitter and Instagram pages with endless bee emojis after the rocker insulted their idol in a new Rolling Stone interview. Kid Rock, 44, angered the hive when he said he was "flabbergasted" by Beyonce's level of success and idolization.
"Beyonce, to me, doesn't have a f–king 'Purple Rain,' but she's the biggest thing on Earth," he told the mag. "How can you be that big without at least one 'Sweet Home Alabama' or 'Old Time Rock & Roll'? People are like, 'Beyonce's hot. Got a nice f–king ass. I'm like, 'Cool, I like skinny white chicks with big tits.' Doesn't really f–king do much for me."
While he made no attempt to walk his comments back, Kid Rock acknowledged the Beyhive's presence on Friday, Feb. 27, when he posted a photo of Raid Flying Insect repellent. The musician chose not to caption the image, but made an obvious nod to the Beyhive's buggy nickname.
As relentless as ever, members of Beyonce's fiercely loyal fanbase responded by simply posting even more bees in the comments section of the photo.
