Kim Kardashian and her kids, North, 3, and Saint, 12 months, are staying with Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner as Kim’s husband, Kanye West, recuperates following his hospitalization, a source tells Us Weekly.
“Kim has spent the last few days at Kris’ house with the kids. The kids were there during Kanye’s hospitalization and are very happy there,” the insider tells Us. “Kim really wants to protect the kids and will do everything she can to see that that happens.”
The source adds: “Kanye has not seen the kids very much since he was released and Kim does not think he should. She has no plans for them to all live together.”
However, a source close to West says that he, Kardashian and their kids “are at home,” and denies they are staying at Jenner’s house without him.
As previously reported, the “Famous” rapper, 39, was released from UCLA Medical Center’s Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital on November 30 after a nine-day stay for what his physician Michael Farzam called an episode of “temporary psychosis” during a November 21 911 call. Since returning home, West has been receiving outpatient treatment at an L.A.-area rental, multiple sources tell Us.
In the latest issue of Us Weekly, a Kardashian family friend claims that the Selfish author, 36 — who was previously wed to producer Damon Thomas and NBA pro Kris Humphries — “wants a divorce” from Yeezy.
“It will take some time before she can do anything,” claims the friend, alleging that she’s trying to build a case for full custody of her children with West, “but she doesn’t want to stay married.”
In the meantime, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians personality is remaining supportive of her hip-hop star hubby throughout his recovery. “She cares about Kanye and feels relieved he’s getting the help he needs,” the insider explains to Us, “but she’s felt trapped for a while.”
