Not the list you want to top! Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian were recently revealed to be the two celebrities who are often victims of fraud.
According to the company Kount, which deals with fraud and risk management, Winfrey, 61, and Kardashian, 34, are the two biggest victims, or “fraudulebrities,” with golf pro Tiger Woods, actress Jennifer Aniston, and basketball star Michael Jordan rounding out the top five.
OWN network mogul Winfrey hit the No. 1 spot on the list after a “fraudster” was able to steal her identity and use it to influence banks and brokerage firms to authorize purchases. According to Kount, this con artist stole personal information from more than 200 individuals, making wire transfers of up to $10 million before being caught.
Reality star and selfie-loving personality Kardashian also had her personal information hacked by scammers in Florida, who were able to open up new credit cards in her name. As if that weren’t enough, her Social Security number, bank statements, and credit reports were all published online.
