Kim Kardashian Shares Tribute Video for Dad Robert Kardashian on 13th Anniversary of His Death

Forever in their hearts. Kim Kardashian shared a touching tribute video in honor of the 13th anniversary of her father Robert Kardashian Sr.’s death. “Our dad passed away 13 years ago today and we miss him every single day but today we wanted to share with you a glimpse of who he was,” the Selfish author, 35, wrote on her site. “It was hard to find footage of our dad since he loved to film us and was always behind the camera but here’s a little look into who he was to us.”

Robert, who was married to Kris Jenner, died at the age of 59 in 2003 of esophageal cancer.

“OK, this is my dad,” one of Kim’s siblings says in the video before a montage of Robert looking happy with his family plays. At one point in the clip, teenage Kim beams with her dad by her side at what appears to be a birthday party. There are also clips of Robert with Kris, including what appears to be footage of their wedding or a baptism.

This past February the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan paid their respects to the lawyer — who became known for being part of O.J. Simpson’s legal team during the athlete’s trial for the murder of ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman — on social media in honor of what would have been his 72nd birthday.

“Happy Birthday dad! So much has gone on in our lives since you’ve been gone, and I know you have been my guardian angel seeing it all unfold!” Kim wrote alongside an Instagram photo of Robert. “I love you and miss you so much!”

The social media maven is now a parent herself. She shares kids North, 3, and Saint, 9 months, with husband Kanye West.
