Komplete khaos! Kylie Jenner Snapchatted the chaotic scene at her pop-up shop at the Topanga Mall in Los Angeles on Friday, December 9, where fans lined up overnight in anticipation of the store’s grand opening.
According to one video that fans shared via Snapchat, lines for the store began to form around 9 p.m. on Thursday evening and snaked all around the mall. Jenner, 19, also shared plenty of Snapchats upon her arrival at the mall on Friday, along with a post to Instagram.
“The empire 👑👑👑 it’s all for you ❤️ See you soon x #TheKylieShop,” she captioned an image of fans filling the entire ground floor of the mall. Other images show crowds lined up on the second floor and huddled en masse in front of the store itself.
When the doors opened at 10 a.m. Friday, about 20 customers were allowed in the store at a time (but not before going through a metal detector!). Inside, neon lights greeted shoppers, including a huge sign that said “Kylie” with a heart design at the back of the shop.
Also on the wall, giant screens projected videos of Jenner and Tyga, 27, lying in bed together (the rapper is shirtless under the covers, while Jenner shows off her legs in lingerie and a feathery coat).
Images from the couple’s racy photo shoot, involving a topless Jenner straddling Tyga, also made an appearance in the shop. According to an Us Weekly reporter, the vibe was “very retro and posh,” with a distinctive holiday vibe to the decorations, which included a white Christmas tree with Kylie lip kit–themed presents under it.
Many of Jenner’s biggest fans even turned up in outfits like their favorite reality star’s, including one girl who wore a tan suede dress like that one Jenner wore while out on a date with Tyga a few weeks back.
Later in the evening, the pair enjoyed a late night bite together in West Hollywood. The makeup maven swapped her orange dress for a bright all-red ensemble that showed off her midsection as they made their way to Catch LA.
In a mirror selfie she later posted to Instagram, the lip kit creator captioned the photo: “Real Eyes Realize Real Lies.”
