He’ll be there for you! Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving isn’t afraid to show his love for ‘90s hit sitcom Friends. The NBA player apparently has the show’s easily recognizable logo tattooed on his left forearm for all to see! And see people did when the pro baller took part in a press conference on Wednesday, June 10, at the Cavaliers’ arena.
Irving, 23, made no effort to hide his TV ink, which is just one of his many tats. After the event, close-up photos of his Friends tattoo circulated online.
But no big deal. He’s fine with admitting his enjoyment of the sitcom, which starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and Lisa Kudrow.
“‘How many of us have them,’” the NBA player wrote on Instagram late Wednesday in response to the media’s interest in his pop-culture ink. (And just FYI, that lyric isn’t from the Friends theme song, but a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony tune about buddies.) “I mean what I can say lol I’m a fan of the show.”
As are we, Kyrie. As are we!
The Cavaliers are playing Game 4 of the NBA playoffs against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday, June 11, at 9 p.m. ET in Cleveland. Usher is set to perform the National Anthem.
