David Schwimmer

Despite being the first member of the cast recognized with an Emmy nomination, the nerdy Friend has had little success outside of the show.
Born in New York and raised in L.A., Schwimmer attended Beverly Hills High School and then Northwestern University, where he cofounded Chicago’s Looking Glass Theatre Company.
Having appeared as Ross Geller for 10 years on the popular TV series Friends, Schwimmer has had difficulty establishing a career outside the show.
Other than a couple of flops as a romantic comedy lead (in projects including The Pallbearer and Kissing a Fool), Schwimmer has accepted supporting roles in a few small independent films and found success doing voice work in the animated film Madagascar and its sequel Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa.

Schwimmer announced his engagement to photographer Zoe Buckman in March 2010.
