Lorelai Gilmore has given Rory her blessing! Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel don't share any real DNA, but they did share seven years together on Gilmore Girls — and they could soon be sharing a laugh at Bledel's wedding to Mad Men actor Vincent Kartheiser.
After Us Weekly broke the news of the couple's engagement, Entertainment Tonight reporter Jarett Wieselman tweeted that he was looking forward to finally seeing a photo of "Lorelai" at "Rory's" wedding. In response, Graham quipped, "Wait, she finished Yale already?" (In fact, Bledel's Rory finished Yale before the series ended; she landed her dream job as a political reporter in the finale.)
"Time flies, right?" Wieselman replied. To which Graham said, "Yes! Very happy for them. Two gorgeous and talented people."
Graham, 46, played mom to Bledel, 31, on the WB dramedy Gilmore Girls from 2000 to 2007. She currently stars on NBC's Parenthood.
Her former TV daughter, meanwhile, most recently appeared opposite now-fiance Kartheiser, 33, on AMC's Mad Men. Their characters' affair fizzled out quickly, but their real-life romance continued to blossom. A pal tells Us that the actor proposed "a few weeks ago" with a "huge" ring.
"They couldn't be happier," another friend said of the couple's engagement.
