Lea Michele's Twitter was hacked with a fake pregnancy announcement on July 4, one day after Glee star Chris Colfer's Twitter was hacked

Someone's got it out for the Glee cast. Like Chris Colfer before her, Lea Michele was the victim of a Twitter hacking on Friday, July 4. On the morning of Independence Day, a tweet was posted to Michele's account revealing her (fake) pregnancy.

"Before this gets out to the media, I would like to announce to my fans that I am pregnant," the tweet read. It was hashtagged "#BabyBoy."

A rep for the Glee star—who is currently dating lifestyle coach Matthew Paetz—confirmed to Us that she had been hacked. And Michele herself set the record straight on Twitter, first deleting the offending tweet and then joking about it in a follow-up message.

"I was HACKED!" the 27-year-old "If You Say So" singer wrote. "Guess @chriscolfer and I should have known better than to make our passwords the names of our cats."

Colfer, 24, made headlines one day earlier, on Thursday, July 3, when he appeared to announce that he had been fired from Glee. "Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE," a tweet on his account read. "Explanations will come shortly…"

The explanation, it turned out, was that someone had hijacked his account. Colfer was actually on an airplane when all the action went down, and only found out about the excitement upon landing. "Apparently I missed quite the INTERESTING day while aboard my flight," he quipped. "I'm just glad I wasn't 'killed by a fruit truck' again."
