Not a peaceful time. Bobbi Kristina Brown’s aunt, Leolah Brown, interrupted the late star’s funeral on Saturday, Aug. 1, at Saint James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Ga.
A source tells Us Weekly that Bobby Brown’s sister screamed at Pat Houston during the private service. The source says Leolah yelled, “Whitney is rolling over in her grave! You are so wrong for this, Pat!”
The insider adds that Leolah was escorted out of the building to cool off, but was eventually allowed back inside in time to sing hymns with others in attendance.
“I told her that Whitney is going to haunt her from the grave,” Leolah reportedly said outside, via the Associated Press.
According to TMZ, Leolah had the outburst when Pat, Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law and Bobbi Kristina’s co-legal guardian, began to speak to Bobbi Kristina’s loved ones. Director Tyler Perry also intervened during the situation.
There’s been an ongoing feud between the Brown and Houston families since Bobbi Kristina was put in a medically induced coma on Jan. 31. More recently, Leolah slammed Pat for allegedly telling Bobby that it was “costing too much money” to keep his daughter alive.
“If Pat knew The God that I know, instead of trying to inherit my niece’s money for her personal gain, she would mind her own business and go find A JOB for herself without continuously working so hard to destroy my niece, beg her for money and get angry when she cannot get it!” Leolah claimed in a June Facebook post. “Pat has NO RIGHT WHATSOEVER to be anywhere near my niece’s Estate! Whitney would NEVER CONDONE OR AGREE to that!”
