So. Hot. Liam Hemsworth and Kate Winslet were snapped on the set of The Dressmaker in his native Australia on Dec. 10. Winslet, dressed in a fiery red 1950s ensemble complete with red satin gloves, was in full character as Tilly, a well-dressed mysterious women who returns to her hometown after being accused of murder.
Hemsworth, on the other hand, stole the show on set, showing off his muscles in a rugby uniform as footballer Teddy McSwiney, the man who ends up wooing Winslet’s character. Hemsworth clutches a football with his sturdy-looking arms clad in a red tank and black short shorts.
The flick, which is based off the novel by Rosalie Ham, has been dubbed by director Jocelyn Moorhouse as a “tale of love, revenge, and 1950s haute couture.”
More importantly, Moorhouse told Variety she cast Hemsworth as the man to romance Winslet’s character because he’s a “laid back, genuine charmer who’s also tall, dark, and movie-star handsome. He’ll create a character for the audience to fall in love with.”
We are, for the record, already quite smitten!
