Little People, Big World alum Jacob Roloff and his wife, Isabel Roloff, are entering a new chapter away from Roloff Farms amid “tension” with his family.

“We see land as such a precious thing,” Isabel, 30, told People in an interview published on Thursday, October 8, weeks after Jacob, 29, claimed that his father, Matt Roloff, intended to sell a 16-acre portion of the family’s 109-acre agricultural property in Helvetia, Oregon, where Jacob and Isabel have raised their son, Matteo, for the last four years.

Isabel continued, “We’ve been so grateful to live here, so we just feel devastated. We’re still hoping for a miracle.”

Roloff Farms served as the backdrop for TLC’s reality series Little People, Big World from 2006 to 2024, when the show was canceled. Jacob, the youngest son of Matt, 65, and ex-wife Amy Roloff, stepped away from the spotlight in 2016 after claiming that he was unfairly paid for his work on LPBW. Four years later, Jacob came forward with claims that he was molested by a producer.

Jacob and Isabel later returned to the family’s farm in late 2021 while they were expecting Matteo. The couple reached an agreement with Matt that they would rent a home on the property and earn wages by maintaining the farm and caring for the animals.

“A lot of people assume that he has so much hurt here,” Isabel told People. “But I think being here with our son was able to heal a lot for Jacob. It felt like new beginnings, like changing the energy of the past and what happened to him here. He was just able to move forward and see it with different eyes — seeing it through the eyes of our son.”

Though Isabel said the arrangement she and her husband made with Matt had been “going well,” things changed last month when Jacob claimed in a TikTok video that they would “likely” not be “here [on the farm] past January.”

“I certainly tried to keep the tradition going,” he said in September. “There was nothing too distinguishing about our pumpkin patch beyond the show, so definitely wanted to get back to growing our own pumpkins, growing our own corn, doing a corn maze and things like that. Couldn’t really get there with management.”

In June, Matt relisted 16 acres of Roloff Farms for $2.6 million. The family patriarch previously tried to sell a portion of the property for $4 million in 2022 and offered the house as a short-term vacation rental. He later took it off the market and relisted it for $2.8 million in August 2025.

Responding to Jacob and Isabel’s claims about selling the farm, Matt told People in a statement on Thursday, “I’m focused on my retirement plans and being fair to all my family members that I love and adore, including all my grandchildren.”

Isabel told the outlet that there’s currently “so much hurt and tension within the family.”

“As somebody who married into it, I’m very much like, ‘Can’t we all get along?’ But I can’t mend fences that I never broke,” she said. “We just want to continue working and living here, if possible. … We’re still encouraging people to come out because we still love the aspect of people coming out and seeing the beautiful farm. We’ve loved our time here growing flowers, growing pumpkins, growing vegetables — it would just be sad to say goodbye.”
