Hooray for Hollywood! President Obama's oldest daughter may have her sights set on Tinseltown, according to a report from The Wrap. The site claims that Malia Obama recently spent a day as a production assistant on the L.A. set of Halle Berry's new CBS show, Extant.
An insider told The Wrap that Malia, 15, "helped with computer shop alignments" for the sci-fi production. "The director also let her slate a take," the source said.
At one point, Malia reportedly "laughed with delight, saying, 'My first time. This is a big deal.'"
Extant stars Berry as an astronaut who returns home from a solo mission in space and has to reintegrate herself into her family. The series is produced by Steven Spielberg, who, like Berry, is a longtime Obama supporter.
The Obama family was recently in Southern California so the Commander-in-Chief could deliver the commencement address at the University of California Irvine. Spokespeople for CBS and First Lady Michelle Obama did not respond to The Wrap's requests for comment.
