Look who’s Tangled up in meows! Mandy Moore stopped by Us Weekly’s headquarters in NYC recently to discuss her love for the many pets she shares with husband Ryan Adams.
“I have four adopted cats myself at home, and I’m a big animal advocate and lover,” the singer, 30, told Us. “I’m lucky to be married to somebody who feels the same way. We have our own little zoo happening right now.”
Moore and Adams, 39, who got married in 2009, have been all about expanding their brood—at least in terms of pets!
“We adopted our dog, Joni, when we were dating,” she shared. “She’s the apple of my eye. A total momma’s girl.” The couple then went on to adopt their two cats, Theo and Vincent, and eventually their dog Jackson. Most recently, the Tangled actress and the indie rocker added two more kittens to their family, by adopting Maddie and Addison. She noted, “We also have three feral cats that are living in our backyard.”
Including the outdoor kitties, that tallies the couple’s pets to nine, total, with seven cats and two dogs.
Although their home is filled with their lovely fuzzy friends, Moore admitted it’s tough to catch alone time with Adams. “There’s no way to have a connection with my husband,” she joked, “because there are always animals in between [us]!”
