What else would you expect from the Elusive Chanteuse? Mariah Carey threw herself … a Mariah Carey–themed party, in which guests were asked to dress as their favorite version of the iconic diva.
“Over the weekend, Mariah threw a party in the Airbnb she was staying in in Lake Como, Italy,” a source tells Us Weekly about the festive affair, which took place in between stops on the European leg of Carey’s Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour. “About 40 to 50 people — people from her touring crew, friends — dressed up in their favorite Mariah looks; looks inspired by her songs or videos, with Mariah hair, poses, and her signature style.”
The guest of honor dressed up as “Bianca,” Carey’s sexy brunette alter-ego. As Lambily members know, “Bianca” made her debut in the music video for MC’s 1999 No. 1 hit “Heartbreaker” from her album, Rainbow.
The singer took to Instagram on Friday, April 15, to share a snapshot of her clever costume. “#Bianca returns 😘😘😘,” she wrote alongside the pic.
The doppelgänger celebration, which was reportedly filmed for Carey’s upcoming E! docuseries Mariah’s World, went down at a luxurious $60 million 18th century villa fit for a pop queen.
A rep for Airbnb tells Us that the sprawling estate (located in the same area as George Clooney’s famed estate) features “8 bedrooms, 11 working fountains, a bell tower, a private dock, pool terrace, indoor gym, home theater and billiard rooms.”
The insider adds to Us of the swanky soiree: “They clearly had a lot of fun!”
