British music producer Mark Bell has died. The LFO founder died from complications after a surgery, his label told Rolling Stone in a statement.

"It's with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Mark Bell of LFO who died last week from complications after an operation. Mark's family and friends request privacy at this difficult time," his label Warp Records said on Monday, Oct. 13.

Bell, who founded LFO with Gez Varley in 1988, also worked with artists like Björk and Depeche Mode.

Following the news of his death, Björk posted a link on Facebook to LFO's "Love Is the Message."

Bell was 43 years old.
