Burn! Martha Stewart has put to rest why Bethenny Frankel didn't win Celebrity Apprentice: Martha Stewart back in 2005. During a pre-taped interview with the reality star on her new daytime talk show, the Skinnygirl mogul flat out asked Stewart if she didn't like her during the series.
"Well you weren't so likable then. You weren't. No, you weren't," Stewart bluntly admitted to Frankel as the audience laughed. "You were a pest, you were a pest. You were so out there in front of everybody."
In December 2005, Frankel — fairly new to the public at the time — took home second place to fellow contestant Dawna Stone; Frankel, 42, was quite the wild card for Stewart, 72, at the time. Nonetheless, the TV veteran made sure to applaud Frankel for how far she made it on the series.
"The Apprentices are sort of giving to one, on that show you are sort of given the apprentices," Stewart said of the contestant selection. "I went through a whole lot, 100s of contestants but the last ten or so were really the producers choices. So you made it through those difficult producers, that's really good. Just getting there was good."
"But I didn't win," Frankel joked, as Stewart replied: "Are you still smarting from that? You have your own show now, this fabulous show!" she quipped.
Frankel and Stewart's segment airs Monday, Sept. 30 on FOX.
