Actress, fashion designer, author… horse jockey? Mary-Kate Olsen added a new line to her resume this week when she competed in the Hampton Classic Horse Show.
The former child star and co-creator of The Row, 28, hit Bridgehampton, N.Y. on Thursday, Aug. 28, and Friday. Aug, 29, for the Hampton Classic. Looking like a professional rider, Olsen suited up in a pair of khaki riding pants, boots, a navy blue blazer, and an equestrian helmet.
Olsen showed impressive form, jumping one horse, and riding another. She competed with a horse named Swagger, and another named Uniek. At last year’s Hampton Classic, a horse she owned, Marvelous, competed and won first place.
This isn’t the first time that Olsen has hinted at her horseback-riding skills. In her 2001 movie Winning London with sister Ashley, Olsen played a high school student named Chloe, who shows off her riding talents in a game of polo.
The Olsen twins even recorded their love of horses for prosperity in a song called “My Horse and Me,” featured on their 1993 album, I Am the Cute One.
