Michelle Obama isn’t a regular mom, she’s a cool mom! The First Lady and mother to daughters Malia, 16, and Sasha, 13, showed just how hip she is on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
Michelle, 50, took on DJ Snake and Lil Jon, spoofing the pair’s chart-topping single “Turn Down For What” in a Vine video. The clip was a part of the White House’s “Ask the First Lady” initiative in support of the Let’s Move! campaign and push for healthy eating, home cooking, and gardening. Michelle’s video came as a response to a question-and-answer session from a man who asked, “A question for Michelle Obama: How many calories do you burn every time you ‘turn up’?”
Looking chic and casual in a black-and-white striped top with her hair pulled loosely back, FLOTUS held a ripe turnip in her hand and faced the camera. She then remixed the banger with her focus on healthy eating, asking “Turnip For What?” and breaking it down to the song.
DJ Snake expressed his excitement about the First Lady’s video, tweeting on Tuesday evening, “NOBODY can’t talk to me for the rest of the week.”
This is hardly the first time that Michelle has shown off her dance moves. She is famous for her Dougie dance, working it to Cali Swag District’s “Teach me How to Dougie,” and even did a whole segment on “The Evolution of Mom Dancing” with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in 2013.
