Gia Giudice offered an update on sister Milania Giudice following the sudden death of her best friend, Victoria Zardoya.
“This was her best friend, like, literally, it was always Milania, Victoria, Alexandra [her twin sister] and Stephanie [their friend], and we all lived like within [the same neighborhood],” Gia, 25, exclusively told Us on Wednesday, August 12, while discussing Next Gen NYC season 2. “Victoria and Alexandra were actually our neighbors when we lived in 6 Indian Lane, so that’s how we met; and Stephanie just lived up the road. We were all connected by one road, and it was, like, every day, Melania would run back and forth from house to house.”
Victoria died in July after suffering a fatal fall during a trip to Florida’s Fort Dade ruins at the age of 20. Victoria, whose organs were donated to help others in the wake of her death, is survived by her parents and her twin sister. Milania, 20, and her family have since been candid about navigating Victoria’s loss.
“She was really a part of our family, and yeah, it’s affected all of us a lot,” Gia told Us. “But Milania, I feel like she feels like her twin flame is missing. That was like her person, and Victoria is also a twin. … My heart just goes out to [Alexandra].”
Gia further praised her younger sister for “being so strong” in light of Victoria’s death.
“It was, like, the ‘the four amigos.’ They were just a pack,” she said on Wednesday. “It’s been crazy. You can’t even imagine. You hear about these things happening to other people, or you see things in the news, but then when it actually hits home and affects you so closely, you can’t even wrap your head around it. It doesn’t even feel real.”
Gia and Milania, two of Teresa Giudice’s four daughters with ex-husband Joe Giudice, have shared their lives publicly throughout their mom’s tenure on The Real Housewives of New Jersey. After graduating from college, Gia showcased her first foray into adulthood on Bravo’s Next Gen NYC.
“It’s been so fun. I think this season is so different from season 1. You really get a deeper dive into our personal lives and also our workspace,” Gia teased to Us. “In tonight’s episode, you are also going to see us at BravoCon [2025], which I think is super cool because I think this is the first time that I think a show on Bravo has ever done this. You really see the behind the scenes throughout BravoCon, what we do, how hectic our days are. It is super fun.”
Elsewhere on Next Gen NYC, Gia continually mulls the next steps with her longtime boyfriend, Christian Carmichael.
“He’s my forever person. I plan to be with him for the rest of my life, but this is also a big part of my life,” she said of welcoming her boyfriend onscreen. “I think when we were filming, it was a little uncomfortable for him just to really get used to having these one-on-one scenes with me because it’s something that he’s never done before, and this season was really the start of us having those one-on-one scenes.”
Gia added, “I think that was a bit of an adjustment, but he is truly like my No. 1 supporter. He’s so happy with everything that I do. He’s so proud of me, and he’s never once tried to take that away from me or even make that a part of the equation.”
