Can’t wait to see this! Miley Cyrus and fiancé Liam Hemsworth “have been writing a script for a play together,” a Cyrus source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly. “It’s a dramatic love story.”
The “We Can’t Stop” singer, 23, and the Independence Day: Resurgence actor, 26, know the material from experience: Engaged in 2012, they broke up and reunited three years later, only to waffle on wedding details.
“Miley is always writing, drawing and making music,” adds a second source close to the new coach on NBC’s The Voice. “Liam helps out. They’re so creative.”
A more difficult project: planning their vows. As Us previously reported, the couple scrapped the idea of a small summer beach ceremony in Australia. More recently, they canceled flights and lodging for a honeymoon in Bora Bora. Cyrus “is still very erratic with her decision-making,” a pal told Us at the time.
Now, reveals the first source, the two are hoping to say “I do” this fall. “Miley has been trying to keep everything a secret,” adds the insider. “There are very few people who are involved in the planning and all of her closest friends have been sworn to secrecy."
Those who do score an invite will likely show up to the fete empty-handed. "Miley and Liam do not want gifts," continues the source. "They're going to ask all of their guests to donate to a charity of their choosing."
Cyrus and the Hunger Games alum first began dating after they met in 2009 on the set of the movie The Last Song. "From the first time we read,” Hemsworth later told Teen Vogue, “it was like I had known her before."
