It’s written in ink. Miley Cyrus got a new tattoo over the weekend in honor of her fiancé Liam Hemsworth’s favorite Aussie snack, Vegemite.
The “We Can’t Stop” singer, 23, enlisted Los Angeles–based tattoo artist Doctor Woo for the tiny tat, which she got on the back of her left arm.
“@mileycyrus don’t play when it comes to #vegemite,” the artist captioned a black-and-white photo of Cyrus’ new ink on his Instagram account on Saturday, July 9.
It’s no secret that the eccentric star’s Australian beau loves the salty snack. In an interview with Australia’s Sunday Style last month, he gushed about growing up on Vegemite with his brothers, Luke and Chris Hemsworth.
“After-school Milo [a chocolate milk drink] and Vegemite on toast,” he told the news outlet of his favorite after-school snack. “I lived on it.”
The actor also raved about the paste in a 2010 interview with Australian site Girl.com.au while promoting his film The Last Song. (Hemsworth and Cyrus met on the set of the romantic drama and started dating shortly after.)
When asked which foods he misses the most from his native country, he told the website, “Meat pies and Vegemite. They don’t really have meat pies in the States; they have hot chicken pies, not meat pies. Vegemite, definitely. I had four bits of Vegemite toast this morning!”
Hemsworth and Cyrus got engaged in June 2012 before splitting in September 2013. The couple rekindled their romance late last year and got engaged again after New Year’s 2016, although they’ve yet to publicly confirm the news.
As Us Weekly exclusively reported last month, the duo are set to get married on the beach. Although a date has yet to be set, they previously stated that they’d like to get married in the summer.
