Josh Raby is finally going to get the McDonald’s milkshake experience of his dreams.
After the Nashville native detailed his very odd Sunday night fast-food experience on Twitter, Raby’s story of a derailed drive-thru trip has gone viral and apparently has caught the attention of McDonald's corporate offices.
Raby’s strange visit included an unnecessary view of a McDonald’s employee making out with his wife in the drive-thru window and a whole lot of apple pie talk — when all the man wanted was to appease his sweet tooth with a milkshake.
To make up for his less than stellar time at the golden arches, the Local Air web series creator claims that Mickey D’s plans on giving him VIP treatment later on this week, complete with a limo ride. He shared the story in a series of tweets on Tuesday, April 12.
“I have turned down a bunch of interviews today about this milkshake thing because I don't know why they would be interesting,” Raby began. “But! I will tell you something that happened yesterday while I was at work as a result of all this foolishness.”
I work at a restaurant. Yesterday I was working the window in the kitchen. My manager comes down mid-lunch and says "You have a call."

"You need to go to the office and take this call."
"Who is it?"
"McDonald's."
"Like the one down the road?"
"No. It's MCDONALD'S."

And so I went to the office and answered the phone.
And it was the PR people for McDonald's.
Actual damned McDonald's.— Josh Raby (@JoshRaby) April 12, 2016
They said they saw my tweets. They asked me which McDonald's this happened at. I told them I would not answer. I didn't want any trouble.

I told them that I was not angry and that I didn't want anyone to get in any shit over this.
They laughed:

Then they asked me if I could get off work so they could come get me. I told them no. Then they asked if they could come get me later.

I'm a single father so I told them I had to get my kids off the bus. They said "you can bring them."

While McDonald’s offered to treat Raby’s kids as well, the single dad of two decided to fly solo for his luxurious reservation at the chain restaurant.
I told them that whatever the hell was happening to me today was not going to happen to my kids. They are normal kids.

So we agreed they would come get me Wednesday.
Tomorrow McDonald's is picking me up in a limousine for an "Ultimate Drive Thru Experience"

Best of all, Raby has been promised he will finally receive his beloved dessert.
I have been assured I will receive a milkshake.
