The celebrations continue! Mindy Kaling’s friends are throwing her a holiday party nearly one week after she gave birth to her first child, daughter Katherine Swati.
“I usually do a holiday dinner with the young women that work with me but I’ve had a busy week! So they brought the holiday dinner to me,” The Mindy Project creator, 38, captioned an Instagram photo of the soiree’s menu on Thursday, December 21. “It’s a You’ve to Mail Nora Ephron-themed holiday dinner, cooked and orchestrated by @asekar95 and @yo_its_hmo and it’s happening TONIGHT at my house.”
The menu features creative delicacies inspired by the 1998 romantic comedy, including “High Maintenance Truffle Cauliflower Soup,” “Shopgirl’s Pasta Pomodoro” and “Angel of Death Carrots.”
“Look at this menu! Look at these Nora Ephron deep cuts,” Kaling noted, later quoting the Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks flick. “(Maybe for dessert we will have coffee … Patricia? Patricia’s amazing. Patricia makes coffee nervous.)”
As previously reported, The Office alum welcomed her baby girl on Friday, December 15 — Us broke the news in September that Kaling was expecting a daughter.
The Oceans 8 star confirmed her pregnancy while appearing on the Today show in August. “It’s so unknown to me,” she said at the time during an interview with Willie Geist. “I have a lot of control over a lot of aspects of my life and this is one where I’m like, ‘OK, it’s out of my hands,’ which is kind of a fun feeling.”
The comedian has yet to reveal the identity of her daughter’s father.
