Molly Sims’ priorities have changed. The supermodel revealed during an interview with The Huffington Post that she used to starve herself and obsessively work out to try to be a size 0 during her early modeling days.
“Even just to get ready for Sports Illustrated…I would walk 14 miles a day,” the now married mom of two, who started modeling at age 19, candidly revealed. “It was very difficult to stay the weight that you were supposed to stay. For me, I’m genetically blessed in certain ways, but in terms of having the weight be a certain size 0, it was very hard. I didn’t eat sometimes for a couple of days.”
Looking back on her Victoria’s Secret days, the lifestyle blogger, 42, realized she didn’t live in the moment.
“You never think you look good…but then you see that picture five years later and you’re like, ‘Damn, girl! You look good.” In fact, when Sims looks at old runway photos of herself, she recalls thinking that she looked “so heavy.”
Nowadays, The Everyday Supermodel author isn’t trying to fit into sample sizes.
“I think other things have become more important than what I look like. It doesn’t have as much weight now that I have a husband and a family and kids…I’m not consumed with trying to get into a size 2. Who gives a s–t if I’m a size 6?”
