In excerpts obtained by Us Weekly, the former Glee star, 29, writes that she wasn’t all that surprised to hear about Salling’s December 2015 arrest.

“My son’s nanny actually told me about it when the story broke,” Rivera recalls in her new book. “I can’t say I was totally shocked, but still — WTF? Then I had no doubt that God really did have my back along the way.”

Rivera, who is now married to actor Ryan Dorsey, shares that she was inconsolable after Salling broke up with her in 2010.

“When Mark dumped me, I thought it was the worst thing ever, but can you imagine if that didn’t happen?” she muses in the book. “And I was laying there in bed when the battering ram came through the door?”

As previously reported by Us Weekly, the actor was indicted in May on two charges related to child pornography.

Salling was arrested in December after a concerned citizen alerted the Internet Crimes Against Children LAPD task force and claimed that the actor had an extensive collection of child pornography. According to Lt. Grossman, Commander of Los Angeles Regional ICAC, thousands of images were found inside Salling’s Sunland, California, home, on his laptop, on a hard drive and even a USB flash drive.
