No sex for the holidays! Nick Cannon revealed in a recent interview with Ellen DeGeneres that he’s not looking to find someone to snuggle up with this winter — in fact, he told the talk show host, he’s trying to stay celibate.
When DeGeneres, 57, asked point-blank whether Cannon, 35, was dating anyone new since splitting from wife Mariah Carey earlier this year, the actor said no.
“I’m not ready for all that,” the America’s Got Talent host replied.
“Yes, you are,” DeGeneres pushed back.
“I’m not,” Cannon said. “You going to hook me up with somebody, Ellen?”
When the talk show host responded that perhaps Cannon just wasn’t ready for anything serious, the father of two explained his hesitancy to date.
“I’m always so busy, so if I’m not working, [my kids] are my No. 1 priority,” he said. “I’m being celibate. I’m trying to work on myself. No sex right now.”
Cannon filed for divorce from Carey in January after nearly seven years together. The pair share twins Moroccan and Monroe, 4.
“It’s all about unconditional love,” he told DeGeneres. “They know Mommy and Daddy still love each other, but more importantly, they love us.”
