Nicole Kidman had a bit of a scare on Thursday, Sept. 12, when a paparazzo on a bicycle crashed into her and sent her falling to the ground. But she picked herself up and pulled herself together in time for the Calvin Klein Collection after-party later that night.
"I'm okay," the Oscar-winning actress, 46, told Us at the New York City bash. "I went down, but I'm back up!" Asked by Entertainment Tonight whether she planned to press charges, she said, "I'm leaving that with the police."
As Us Weekly previously reported, Kidman was struck down on the sidewalk outside the Carlyle Hotel in uptown Manhattan when photographer Carl Wu came careening down the sidewalk in hot pursuit of a picture of the Australian beauty. He lost control and crashed into her on his bike; she fell on impact.
As a bodyguard and her publicist helped her up, she could be heard yelling, "Oh, my God!" and "Ow, ow."
"She looked hurt, but there wasn't any blood," an onlooker said. "She put her shoes back on and ran into the Carlyle."
Wu, for his part, was not arrested in connection with the incident. However, he was served with a ticket for riding his bike on a sidewalk.
