It’s that time of the year again! Oprah Winfrey has released her annual Oprah’s Favorite Things gift list, full of treats and goodies for the holiday season – including a $395 personalized dog blanket, a $1,500 TV, a $65 jumbo lipstick and $195 gold-colored high-top sneakers.
The former talk show queen didn’t disappoint with this year’s picks, choosing a mix of eccentric, cozy, high-tech, delicious and cute gifts options for the list, published in the December issue of O, The Oprah Magazine and revealed on Thursday, November 3.
With more than 100 tempting treats, the 2016 Favorite Things list is the longest gift wish list compiled by the OWN network owner. Many of the items on the list are also all available for purchase on a special section of Amazon.
“Sometimes it’s the little things that make for the most thoughtful gifts,” said Winfrey in a statement as she unveiled her holiday picks. “There are lots to choose from on this list.”
And while there are affordable picks, like a $16 fringed key chain, we wouldn’t call many items on the list “the little things.”
Oprah’s most over-the-top gift suggestions include a $1,500 smart TV, a $399 digital picture frame, a $132 rose-scented foot kit with “spa socks,” a $395 dog blanket that comes customized with an image of your pet, a $400 hair dryer and $549 “personal theater” headphones. Oh, and did we mention $165 chocolate-and-vanilla mousse poinsettia flower cake?
Some more surprising picks from the Favorite Things List? Cute mini bluetooth animal speakers, gold-and-0black Michael Kors high-top sneakers from $195 and a matching, striped family onesie collection.
For foodies, Winfrey’s picks include gourmet potato chips grown from a community garden in Detroit, $65 tins of holiday cookies, a sorbet maker and even a $45 set of Southern grits.
There’s also a new cookbook written by the media queen herself and available for preorder, the Food, Health, and Happiness cookbook, where the partial owner of Weight Watchers shares her favorite recipes and weight-loss tips.
And of course, Winfrey has a few options for book lovers, including $250 gift sets of the collected works of her favorite authors William Faulkner, Toni Morrison, John Steinbeck and Maya Angelou, a $290 Kindle Oasis with a leather charging case and her favorite reading glasses.
