This week on Getting Real With the Housewives, The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks gets candid on Porsha Williams’ love life.
Porsha, 44, introduced her new “lady friend” Patrice “Sway” McKinney to the season 17 cast during the April 12 episode.
“I think Sway is so sweet. She is just such a gentle woman,” Phaedra, 52, exclusively tells Us. “I just love it and you know, she just adores Porsha and I think Porsha needs this type of love, someone that just loves her unconditionally.”
During a recent confessional Porsha said, “People had a lot to say about me being with women in the past. It’s like, literally the worst kept secret.”
However, Phaedra said she was the last to know since she tries to “mind my own business.”
“You notice things, but at the end of the day I just want her to be happy. A lot of people aren’t courageous enough to walk in their truth. A lot of people have desires that they are afraid to act upon because of cultural norms, whatever the case may be, and so I’m just happy that she’s showing her truth,” Phaedra explains. “She’s walking in her truth and unapologetically allowing someone to love her.”
She added, “You know, they say ‘Love wins, honey,’ and it’s winning with Porsha and I love it. I mean, hey, maybe I’m next. No, I’m not, but I’m just happy for her.”
Porsha first revealed that she was dating a woman in October 2025 at New York City’s CultureCon. At the time, she told the audience that she was “talking to” two people, a man and a woman.
Porsha’s relationship with Sway is her first public romance since her divorce from husband Simon Guobadia. The Bravolebrity filed for divorce from the executive producer after 15 months of marriage in February 2025. While the split was reported just days after Us Weekly confirmed Guobadia, 61, was detained by ICE, a source told People at the time that their breakup was unrelated to the executive producer’s citizenship status.
Us confirmed that the Nigeria native was deported back to his home country in June 2025 after several months in detainment. His divorce from Porsha was finalized that same month.
