Presley Gerber’s recent girlfriend, Charlie Manley, penned an emotional tribute more than a week after his sudden death.
“To the most incredible and inspirational human I’ve ever known. My special one.🪽,” she wrote via Instagram on Monday, September 28. “I feel endlessly lucky to have loved and been loved by you in your final months here.”
Manley’s post included multiple photos from throughout her relationship with Gerber. In one snap, the couple seemingly enjoyed a cozy day in as they snuggled up in sweatshirts. Another showed the pair out by the ocean decked out in swimwear. She also shared a solo picture of Gerber in a hot tub and another of him snuggling a cat.
“What we shared is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life,” she continued. “A true angel. Your beautiful heart and soul will live on with me, forever and always. 🫂.”
Us previously confirmed that Presley, who was the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, died on September 20 at a rehab facility in Santa Monica, California. He was 27.
“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” read a statement from Presley’s family.
The Santa Monica Police Department later told Us that officers responded to a call regarding a possible overdose at 9:35 a.m. local time, where they found an unresponsive adult male at the scene. (Before his death, Presley was vocal about his struggles with addiction and his mental health battle.)
“The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has identified the individual as Presley Gerber, 27,” authorities said in a statement. “SMPD detectives are investigating the death as a suspected overdose. At this time, there is no indication of foul play. The official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner.”
Presley was cremated at the Rose Family Funeral Home and his ashes will be kept at his parents’ home in Malibu, California, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ. Funeral arrangements are reportedly underway.
Manley is not the only one of Presley’s loved ones to honor his memory in the days since his death. Presley’s ex and close friend Lexi Wood, whom he briefly dated in 2022, shared an emotional tribute of her own on September 22.
“It’s hard to put into words what it means to lose someone who was such a meaningful part of my life for so many years,” the Summer House alum, 28, wrote via Instagram. “Through every chapter and every version of our relationship, friendship was always at the core of it. Everyone who loved Presley and was loved by him knows he was one of the kindest, most open, loving and courageous people. He loved so deeply, so purely, was incredibly romantic and thoughtful.”
