‘Tis the season! Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall’s Christmas card was shot during a very special event.
“The photograph was taken by Hugo Burnand at Highgrove in July during the private 70th Birthday party of The Duchess of Cornwall,” Clarence House announced on Monday, December 18.
Clarence House revealed the actual holiday card that the couple will be sending out to their loved ones this year. “Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year,” the message reads.
In the pic, Prince Charles, 69, wears a dark tux and bow tie while The Duchess of Cornwall, 70, looks elegant in a white nearly off-the-shoulder white dress with a statement necklace.
The couple married in 2005. He and the late Princess Diana divorced in 1996. She died the following year at age 36 in a car crash during a Paris vacation.
Prince Harry, now engaged to Meghan Markle, opened up about The Duchess of Cornwall in a BBC interview in 2005. “She’s a wonderful woman and she’s made our father very, very happy, which is the most important thing. William and I love her to bits,” he said at the time. “To be honest with you, she’s always been very close to me and William . . . She’s not the wicked stepmother.”
