In images published by U.K. paper The Sun, the pair are dressed down for their night out on the town, with Harry, 32, in a dapper dark green blazer and blue knit cap, and Markle, 35, in a black coat and matching beanie.
According to a source, the low-key pair saw a performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the theater. Harry and the Suits actress looked happy to be in each other’s company. In some of the images, the young royal smiles and looks as though he’s pointing out different buildings and local landmarks to his love.
As Us previously reported, Markle flew from Toronto to the U.K. on Sunday, December 11, eager to see her boyfriend of five months before a planned getaway. “Harry and Meghan weren’t going to see each other until the vacation, but they really wanted to see each other,” an insider told Us. “Meghan had an overwhelming few days in Toronto — cameras wherever she went, feeling like she was being followed. … This is all very surreal to her. She feels safe with Harry.”
On Monday, the U.N. Women advocate and Harry went shopping for a Christmas tree together at Pines and Needles in London’s Battersea Park, where a shop staffer confirms to Us that the pair selected a modest 6-foot Norman’s fir.
“I gave them a bunch of mistletoe,” the employee told Us. “He smelled one of the berries and said it ‘smelled a bit weird’ and [Meghan] said she liked it. Then they got into the car. They walked off holding hands with [Prince Harry] holding the tree in one hand.”
Added company owner Sam Lyle: "It was fantastic having them in the store. They picked out a lovely tree and were both very happy with their purchase. I'm sure they'll have a great time decorating."
