She won’t be silenced. Rose McGowan has been waging a war against sexism in Hollywood on Twitter, and on Wednesday, June 24, she revealed that she was fired by her acting agent as a result.

It all started on June 17, when the Charmed alum, 41, took to Twitter to call out a casting note asking that the actress “shows off cleavage (push up bras encouraged),” implying that it was for an Adam Sandler movie.

But McGowan didn’t let her agent’s exit deter her. She continued responding to fans that supported her before finally tweeting out an inspirational message.
The awesome thing about being an artist? You can't be fired from your own mind. #FREEDOM

Princess Diaries alum Heather Matarazzo also spoke out, lending her support to McGowan and expressing her own frustrations over the lack of female support from other actresses in the industry.
I wish more women would speak up and help in this industry. It can't just be a few of us. Put fear aside and take a stand.Stop being selfish
