Shipping Wars star Roy Garber passed away on Friday, Jan. 17 after suffering a major heart attack. According to TMZ, the A&E star was rushed to a Texas hospital after the attack, but passed away shortly after.
The celebrity spinner, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, died in August 2009 of an apparent drug overdose at the age of 36. The star — who battled drug addictions and had attempted suicide before getting sober more than 10 years ago — survived a tragic plane crash that had left him critically injured.
Garber, who was 49 at the time of his death, has had an on-going heart condition, sources close to the reality star’s family tell TMZ. He leaves behind a longtime girlfriend, who broke the news, and his son Travis — who he raised by himself for more than 18 years.
