The death certificate for Sahara Ray has reportedly revealed new details about where the model died and more.
Ray’s remains are set to be cremated on November 10, with her mother’s Los Angeles home listed as the place of final disposition, according to the certificate obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, November 3.
The certificate also confirmed that Sahara died at age 34 on October 18 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Her cause of death remains deferred.
Ray’s family previously announced her death in a statement on October 19.
“She passed away last night surrounded by family at the hospital,” the family told TMZ. “She was so loved.”
Sahara, the daughter of Australian pro surfer Tony Ray, was born in Australia and grew up in California. She gained fame through her modeling career and developed a large following on social media. She also launched a swimwear line called Sahara Ray Swim.
Sahara made headlines in 2016 when she was spotted vacationing with Justin Bieber in Hawaii. She has also reportedly been linked to singer and future Traitors star Cody Simpson.
In 2024, Sahara revealed she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, a rare neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system attacks the nerves and causes weakness, numbness or paralysis.
“My whole life changed in an instant,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “So thankful for my family and doctors for helping me get stronger everyday. Attitude is everything.”
In a video, she added, “Right now, I’m paralyzed from the tops of my upper thighs all the way down to my feet. I can’t walk at all.”
Sahara’s condition improved over time, and she announced in August 2025 that she was expecting her first baby. She welcomed a daughter named Snow in January.
Sahara’s sister, Ruby Ray, paid tribute to the content creator via social media after her death.
“My beautiful big sister, Sahara,” Ruby wrote on October 19 alongside several throwback photos with Sahara. “The most vivacious, intelligent, hilarious, kind, empathetic and breathtakingly beautiful soul. A force of nature. A light so bright that this world feels impossibly dimmer without her in it.”
She continued, “Sahara has moved from this life into another, and I am left trying to comprehend how someone so full of life can no longer be here to live it.”
Ruby called her older sister “everything extraordinary about being human” and “the most incredible person to ever walk this earth.”
“How cruel it is to love someone so deeply and have nowhere for that love to go. To have a lifetime of memories behind you, but no more tomorrows together,” she continued. “I don’t think there are words in any language capable of holding the weight of this heartbreak. I don’t know how to make sense of a world that keeps turning when mine feels as though it has stopped. … I just want my big sister.”
