Last but not least! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West‘s newborn baby son, Saint West, will likely be the superstar couple’s last child, a source confirms to Us Weekly.
The insider told Us last month — prior to Kardashian giving birth — that the reality star’s chances of being able to carry another baby were low due to health risks. “It’s unlikely she’ll ever carry another baby,” the source told Us. The same insider added that if the couple wanted to have another baby, it would most likely be via a surrogate.
Indeed, the mom of North, 2, and Saint, has been open about her grueling physical condition throughout her second pregnancy. In a blog post last month, Kardashian, 35, revealed that her son was breech, which required her to undergo a painful procedure the weekend before giving birth to get her baby boy to turn in her womb. Kardashian also struggled with preeclampsia throughout her pregnancy with her eldest child, North.
Kardashian and West, 38, welcomed their second bundle of joy on December 5 and revealed days later that they were naming their baby “Saint.” A source told Us that the proud parents referred to their baby as “Saint” well before his delivery because the child was a miracle baby. (As chronicled on KUWTK last season, Kim struggled with getting pregnant and explored various options to conceive her son.)
That doesn’t mean the couple is 100 percent closed off to the possibility of expanding their brood. “They have spoken about other kids,” the source close to the couple told Us last month. “It was hard for her to get pregnant so they will feel blessed to have two happy, healthy children.”
And healthy he is. In a livestream last weekend, Khloe Kardashian gushed about the newest addition to her family. “My little nephew was born he is so cute and so perfect,” she shared on her website. “I love him and mommy and daddy are doing fantastic.”
Grandmother Kris Jenner echoed Khloe’s sentiments while speaking to Us Weekly at a THR breakfast last Wednesday, December 9. “He’s definitely a saint. It’s perfect,” she told Us of the kid’s moniker. “I feel just really blessed to be able to spend Christmas with the kids and all my grandchildren. [It] couldn’t get any better.”
