Seeking Sister Wife star Lorrana Merrifield is seeking financial support after unexplained and unexpected “challenges” more than one year after giving birth to her first baby with husband Garrick Merrifield.
“Hi, my name is Lorrana. I am going through a very difficult and unexpected transition in my life,” Lorrana, 29, wrote via GoFundMe in a newly launched campaign seeking funds to acquire for legal representation. “I am working hard to rebuild stability and move forward, but I am currently facing challenges that I cannot handle alone.”
She continued, “I am seeking support to help me access the resources and assistance I need during this challenging time. Because this is a sensitive family matter, I need to protect my privacy and cannot share many personal details. I am grateful for every message, prayer, and contribution. Any support means more than I can express and will help me take important steps toward rebuilding my life.”
Lorrana and Garrick, 43, welcomed daughter Sarah Mae in July 2025, one year after getting legally married. (Garrick divorced first wife Dannielle Merrifield, with whom he shares three kids, in 2020 in order to tie the knot again. Garrick and Dannielle, 38, remain in a relationship.)
It is not known whether Lorrana’s “transition” pertains to her marriage to Garrick.
“I want to share a small clarification with you because many people have been asking about my situation and the reason why I am asking for support,” Lorrana wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, August 5. “I want to be honest with you while also respecting the limits of what I can share. There are personal matters that I need to handle privately, especially to protect my daughter’s privacy.”
Lorrana further alleged that she doesn’t have “regular financial support” to cover her daily expenses and “responsibilities.”
“I am actively looking for a job, but this process has been more difficult than I expected. In the meantime, I am doing everything I can to rebuild my life, care for my daughter and create stability,” she claimed. “I am also facing significant expenses related to my current situation, including the need for legal representation, which is one of the reasons I created my fundraiser and accepted [donations] from those who want to help me during this time.”
Lorrana stated that she is “not asking anyone to fix [her] life,” instead merely seeking any amount of support to foster a “better future” for her 12-month-old child.
“I am working hard to find employment, become independent and build a better future for myself and my daughter,” she continued in her social media statement. “I am deeply grateful to everyone who has shown kindness, sent messages, shared my story, prayed for us or contributed in any way. Every bit of support has meant so much to us.”
Lorrana has not addressed her status with Garrick and Dannielle, neither of whom have publicly commented on the apparent situation.
