Even after breakup, she still has Bieber fever. Selena Gomez spoke to a Norwegian radio station NRJ on Thursday, Dec. 11, where she confirmed that she's a single lady, but has "love and respect" for her perpetually on-and-off love Justin Bieber.
The former Disney star, 22, was asked about her relationship with Bieber, especially after talked-about performance of "The Heart Wants What It Wants" — during which she broke down crying — at the AMAs last month.
"I definitely have so much respect and love for him," Gomez told the station. "Going into the studio is just very therapeutic. It was my way of having it be a message more to people in general. People everywhere feel this feeling. They should understand when anybody goes through that. They just can't help what they want and [who] they love."
Gomez also revealed during the chat that she is currently single. "No…" she trailed. As for whether she's ready to mingle? The Spring Breakers actress joked that she wouldn't even know how to use dating apps, particularly Tinder.
"Oh, goodness no!" she said laughing. "I don't even know how to work it, to be honest."
The multi-hyphenate revealed to Ryan Seacrest last month that Bieber was a fan of her latest single, which details her tumultuous relationship with him. "He thought it was beautiful," the star said on his radio show. "Honestly, music is an expression, and if you will be that voice for these girls, there are some people that feel this. This is universal."
She elaborated — a little, at least — to Seacrest about her romance with the pop sensation. "I support him. I think I always will," she confessed. "I'm upset when he's upset. I'm happy when he's happy. I don't want anything bad ever to happen to him. It hurts me. That's all."
