Nicole Taylor, a member of the country music trio Taylor Red, has died after a battle with breast cancer. She was 35.

Nicole’s triplet sisters, Nika and Natalie Taylor, announced her death in a video shared via TikTok and Instagram on Monday, November 2.

“We’re heartbroken to announce the passing of our sister Nicole Taylor,” Nika said. “We honestly thought she’d be healed here on Earth, but now she’s healed in heaven.”

The sisters revealed that Nicole was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer in 2022.

“It was an aggressive type. In her words, when she first found out, was, ‘God’s gonna use this for his glory,’” Natalie said.

Nika continued, “She fought it fearlessly, and she said, ‘We’re not going to live in dread during all of this.’ And she even did CrossFit while she was doing her chemo treatments. She responded well to treatments, and she was declared evidence without disease.”

Nicole’s health then took a turn for the worse, and her illness progressed to stage IV.

“She tried not to live in fear, remained really hopeful. She traveled, she tried to live life, she worked really hard, she tried to have fun,” Natalie said.

Nine months later, Nicole was told she had “around three months” to live.

“And if the treatments worked, they didn’t know how long after that,” Nika explained, while Natalie recalled their sister telling the doctor, “Everybody’s going to face judgment, and I’m ready to.”

The sisters then shared a clip of Nicole in her 20s discussing her faith, which she said helped her through her cancer battle.

“She lived around a year after that prognosis, and during the time of the more extreme diagnosis, we felt led to not live in fear and claim healing, and God encouraged us in so many ways,” Natalie said.

Nika concluded, “He was with us and Nicole before her passing. She said she had so much peace, and we’re really thankful for that. We are still shocked and didn’t think this would happen, but we know she’s not suffering anymore, and we have God’s promise of ultimate healing.”

In a YouTube video on Monday, Nika and Natalie got emotional as they shared that Nicole’s diagnosis came as a “big shock.”

“We’re still processing everything,” Natalie said. “This, honestly, feels really hard to talk about, but we’re going to do our best to share her story.”

Taylor Red formed in 2010 and went viral on TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic for their comedy skits and musical challenges. They are best known for their tracks “Country Money” and “Rent Free.”
