Sofía Vergara has a message for any narcissists out there.

Vergara’s 35-year-old son, Manolo, recently shared a graphic comparing a “good man” and a “narcissistic man” to his Instagram Stories, which the actress, 54, reshared to her account on Thursday, October 8.

In the graphic, good men are defined as setting boundaries, apologizing, telling the truth, being responsible, honoring their relationships and loving their partners. As for those with narcissistic tendencies, they are described as gaslighters, liars, demanding attention, being envious and often playing the victim.

“Remember kids, when dealing with a narcissist, it doesn’t matter how much you did for them because they will resent you for it,” Manolo, whom Vergara shares with ex Joe Gonzalez, wrote alongside the chart. “Nothing will ever be enough, and they’ll always somehow try to paint you as the bad guy.”

Manolo did not share his reason for sharing the upload, which Vergara reposted to her account with a clapping hands emoji. The Modern Family alum also didn’t address the message, though she shared another quote about her sense of humor.

“‘The ability to laugh at oneself is probably the highest form of intelligence. The inability to laugh at oneself is a sure sign you’re dealing with an idiot,’” Vergara reposted a quote from Tom Brady’s Instagram account to her Instagram Stories earlier on Thursday. She added the caption, “Life’s too short to be too serious.”

Just days earlier, Vergara’s ex-husband Joe Manganiello opened up about their divorce while promoting his new memoir, Bloodlines. The True Blood alum, 49, told People on Wednesday, October 8, that he secretly battled an unknown autoimmune condition for seven years, during which time Vergara allegedly refused to hug him.

Manganiello further claimed their marriage had “become devoid of any emotionality whatsoever,” also writing in another excerpt that she apparently ridiculed him for adopting his sick five-pound chihuahua, Bubbles, in 2019. (Vergara did not address the accusations. Us reached out for comment.)

Manganiello and Vergara were married from 2015 to 2023. The now-exes settled their divorce in 2024. Vergara has since claimed that the pair’s marriage ended over a disagreement about having kids.

“My marriage broke up because my husband was younger,” she told El País in January 2024. “He wanted to have kids and I didn’t want to be an old mom. I feel it’s not fair to the baby. I respect whoever does it, but that’s not for me anymore. I had a son at 19 … and I’m ready to be a grandmother, not a mother.”

As for Manganiello, he previously denied the actress’ claims.

“There were things said and printed about me that were false,” he claimed to People of Vergara’s comments about their breakup, also noting that he is open to having children. “If that’s meant for me. For seven years, I thought I was going to be dead the next week. The world has opened back up to me.”

Manganiello has since moved on with Caitlin O’Connor, getting engaged in 2025.
