Shade in aisle 9! Kris Jenner might be choosing Office Depot over Staples the next time she needs to run out for a planner. The office supply company suggested that a pearl necklace from her jewelry line can be found at one of its retail stores.
Staples kicked off the feud by reposting one of Jenner’s tweets from Wednesday, June 28. “My new ‘Elegance’ necklace is available now, exclusively online!” the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 60, promoted to her more than 7 million Twitter followers.
The company’s Canada account replied: “Also available in aisle 7…. #ThinkStaples.”
FYI: A pack of 1,000 paper clips costs around $5.29 at Staples. Jenner’s necklace goes for $175.
Other critics pointed out that the piece of jewelry actually looks like it was made out of paper clips too. According to Jenner’s website, the creation, which features organic pearls and sterling silver clips, “epitomizes versatile elegance and is an exquisite, timeless classic.”
“Looks like Kris Jenner is selling necklaces that North made with paperclips for $175???” one commenter tweeted Thursday, June 30. A second added: “@KrisJenner it’s literally a bunch of paperclips and ball mints…how you gonna make me pay for this when i can make one myself for $10..?”
The momager launched her necklace line, Kris Jenner Signature Collection, back in January. She’s yet to respond to Staples’ snarky comment.
