Starbucks Introduces the Mini Frappuccino and It’s So Cute: Details, Photo

Starbucks Mini Frappuccino
Starbucks introduced the smallest addition to its Frappuccino family this week: meet the Mini Frappuccino!

Clap for the baby Frap! Starbucks announced on Monday, May 11, its newest addition to its delicious family of ice-cold, caffeinated beverages: the Mini Frappuccino.

The limited-edition mini Frap, a 10-ounce serving size available through July 6, will be offered in participating Starbucks locations across the U.S. and Canada. In comparison, a tall Frappuccino is 12 ounces.

The Seattle-based coffee giant noted in its press release to Us Weekly that customers can order any and all flavors of the Frappuccino in the mini size. This means the calories will also vary depending on the order. According to the company, there are 36,000 permutations to customize its beloved frosty drinks.

A regular coffee Mini Frappuccino with no whipped cream will register at about 120 calories, while a tall cup of the same item will be about 180 calories. Meanwhile, its venti (large) counterpart has about 350 calories.

The mini Frap will typically cost about 20 to 30 cents less than a tall, or about $3.75. It is the latest addition to Starbucks' summer drinks, which includes the S'mores flavor (comprised of graham crackers, coffee, milk, ice, and milk chocolate sauce, topped with marshmallow-infused whipped cream and graham cracker crumble) released last month.
