Kaia Gerber, Kesha and more celebrities have claimed to have endured exorcisms after experiencing what they claim are supernatural encounters.
“I was told I was possessed as a child,” Kaia, the daughter of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, said during an appearance on Australia’s “Mitch Churi Chat Show” in August 2026. “I was haunted my entire life.”
Kaia went on to claim that she endured an exorcism in the midst of her alleged demonic possession in order to cleanse her ailing spirit
“Do you know how they did the exorcism? They played a didgeridoo all over me,” the Shards actress said, referring to the popular Australian instrument. “I’ve never talked about it, but it actually did happen.”
Kesha, for her part, once claimed she underwent a vaginal exorcism after allegedly having sex with a ghost.
“It seemed to be accurate, because I’ve been going through a dry spell,” the “Tik Tok” singer said on Jimmy Kimmel Live! In 2013, noting that a hypnotherapist used a so-called ghost meter to cleanse her soul. “So, I was like beeping around, and it all makes sense now.”

Kaia Gerber
Crawford’s daughter claimed in August 2026 that she was possessed as a child.
“I do feel I attract beings from other dimensions in a very casual and chill way,” Kaia said, further claiming that she “actually” had an exorcism to ward off the apparent evil spirits. “I’m all healed [now].”
Kesha
Kesha alleged in 2012 that she once slept with a ghost, but didn’t have further details.
“I know it sounds like the most ridiculous story, but I went to my healer and she told me that because of my job, I exude energy,” she told Rolling Stone in 2013, alleging that the healer performed an exorcism.
Nearly nine years later, Kesha revealed that she wasn’t actually intimate with a supernatural entity.
“I was in Texas, Fort Worth, Texas, and I had something wake me up while I was in bed with my boyfriend at the time, and it was a touch down the body,” she told E! News in 2022. “I woke up and looked at the end of the bed and there was an apparition of a woman. So, full disclosure, I never actually slept with a ghost, but she did wake me up in a very sensual way.”
David Bowie
The famed musician alleged in his 2012 Rolling Stone cover story that he sought an exorcism after he claimed he encountered Satan in his indoor swimming pool.
“I really walked into other worlds,” Bowie later told the outlet. “It was time to get out of this terrible lifestyle I’d put myself into, and get healthy. It was time to pull myself together.”
Bowie died in January 2016 at the age of 69.
‘Destination America’
The TV network aired a live exorcism in October 2015 at the real-life St. Louis, Missouri, home that inspired 1973’s The Exorcist.
“The saying ‘the truth is stranger than fiction’ has never been more true than in the case of the Exorcist house,” Destination America general manager Jane Latman said in a statement at the time. “The real story was so much more horrifying than the book or movie depicted, making it one of the most terrifying places in America.”
