Save the date! Steel Magnolia bandmates Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott are planning to tie the knot on July 10, 2012.
"I'd like to do it next year on my birthday, July 10," Scott tells Country Weekly.
Linsey, meanwhile, isn't quite sold on the date just yet. "We were thinking about it. We're going to see," she says. "See, he just thinks July 10 because of his birthday and I'm going, 'Well, do you know if it's a Saturday? Is it a Tuesday?' He doesn't think about those things."
When Scott asked Linsey to be his wife, he presented her with an antique engagement ring that belonged to his great grandmother. As it's too big for her ring finger, Linsey currently wears it on her middle finger.
"We're technically engaged," Linsey says. "He's waited so long that he's going to have to re-ask."
In fact, Scott gave Linsey the ring more than four years ago — long before they won the second season of Can You Duet. "We're both bad procrastinators," he explains.
Adds Linsey, "We're terrible! We feel like we're married because we're too tired to get married. It's like an old couple or something."
