Teen Mom alum Maci Bookout is marking an exciting milestone in her son Bentley’s life.
The former 16 and Pregnant star, 35, gave fans some major nostalgia with her Monday, August 31, Instagram post commemorating the 17-year-old’s senior night in high school.
“The Last Dance 🏌️🏼♂️🥹🙏,” she captioned the post, in which a school administrator could be heard listing Bentley’s accomplishments. “Bentley Edwards,” the person began. “He plans to attend Motlow State Community College to play baseball and major in business. He has a 3.5 GPA.”
Bentley has not only been a five-year starter on his golf team, but also a former wrestling state team champion, the speaker noted.
After seeing the latest photos of Bentley looking all grown up in his sports gear over the years and beaming in snapshots alongside his friends and family, several social media users sounded off in the comments section.
“I watched this child being born 🫠 how did this happen?! Congrats Bentley!! ☺️,” one person wrote. “That’s the nephew of all millennials.😍 aww TT babyyyyyyyy,” a second chimed in.
“Thanks for letting all of us join this ride with you @macideshanebookout. Congratulations to our little Benny, what a fun trip this has been. I can’t wait to see how high this kid flies!!” a third wrote.
Fans watched Maci’s journey to motherhood when she was expecting her first child, Bentley, shared with ex Ryan Edwards, while starring on season 1 of 16 and Pregnant in 2009. She later joined the cast of Teen Mom and continued being a franchise regular with appearances on Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom: The Next Chapter.
In addition to her son Bentley, she welcomed her daughter, Jayde, 11, and son Maverick, 10, with husband Taylor McKinney. (Maci and Taylor, 37, tied the knot in October 2016. Bentley, for his part, is also in a relationship, as his girlfriend is featured in his bio photo.)
Ahead of his mom’s senior night montage, Bentley celebrated his new chapter in a recent post on Instagram.
“I am beyond blessed and grateful to announce my commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Motlow State Community College,” he wrote in his caption on August 12. “First, I want to thank God for giving me the ability to play the game I love and for guiding me through this journey. I want to thank my parents and family for their endless support, sacrifices, and encouragement every step of the way.”
He continued, “Thank you to all my coaches, teammates, and friends who have helped me grow both on and off the field. Also a special thank you to Coach Morris and the whole Motlow coaching staff for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.”
