Teresa Giudice is finding the thought of prison a little difficult to digest. With her 15-month prison sentence just over six weeks away, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star has lost her appetite, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
“She’s skipping meals and surviving on coffee, a few nibbles, and wine,” the insider tells Us of the mom of four, 42, who is due to report to FCI Danbury in Connecticut on Jan. 4. (FCI Danbury is the institution upon which Orange Is the New Black is based.)
The source adds that Giudice has been “shaking from all the caffeine” and is down 11 pounds over the last two months. “She looks frail,” the insider says. “Her family is worried as she continues to obsess about prison and waste away.”
The Bravo-lebrity and her husband Joe — parents to daughters Gia, 13, Gabriella, 10, Milania, 8, and Audriana, 5 — received their sentences in October, after pleading guilty to several counts of fraud. Joe will serve his 41-month term once Teresa gets out, ensuring that at least one parent is able to be home with their kids.
