The world first met Lo Bosworth as Lauren Conrad’s reliable BFF on Laguna Beach and The Hills, but today, she runs award-winning lifestyle blog The Lo Down, in which she gives tips on cooking, entertaining, fashion and more. And now, Bosworth’s also sharing her kitchen tips with Us Weekly in the clip above!
“I have always loved to cook,” Bosworth, who graduated from cooking school in 2014, tells Us. And attending the French Culinary Institute “was the best experience” she’s ever had. “For me, it was mostly about discipline,” the 29-year-old explains about her secondary education, which she considers “essential” in helping her figure out what she wanted to do with her life.

The TV personality also says that she learned plenty about cooking that she didn’t know before. “They teach you that prepping all your food ahead of time is incredibly important. You can’t be cooking your eggs and then be like, Oh my God, I have to go chop up these vegetables,” she explains. “And so the timing is really important, seasoning is really important … and some people don’t taste their food while they’re cooking! Seasoning at the end of a dish is incredibly important.”
Watch the video above to see the French Culinary Institute graduate make Us a healthy, delicious breakfast. She also shares some practical cooking advice, and with a little help from artist Donald Robertson and celebrity stylist June Ambrose, Bosworth also gives Us a look around the high-tech Signature Kitchen Suite (she’s their new brand ambassador!) at the 2016 Dwell on Design show in downtown Los Angeles.
